I'll Take an Order of Sun, Please!

Is the sun so much to ask for? Not from this cute card! I stopped by our local Stamp Shoppe today to do this make-n-take and I just had to share the idea!

THINK SPRING!

Here's Lookin' at You!

Our challenge this week was to use diecuts... so I used as many of them as I could! Hopefully this card inspires all of us to do the 'Spring Dance' to make this depressing weather go away!

The small circle diecuts fit perfectly into the circle stamp from the stamp set Priceless through Stampin' Up! And all of the colors coordinated blissfully with the Stampin' Up! In Colors. I tried adding wording to the front of the card, but every which way I tried to work it... it didn't work. So it is what it is!

I want to jazz my cards up a bit, so I am personally challenging myself to add layers, texture, and embellishments to my cards this coming week!

Think Spring!!

Do you ever start a card without a vision? I wanted my card to scream SPRING!! All of my ideas and embellishments started piling up... and I froze. What did I want my card to look like? BUGS + FLOWERS + COLORS = SPRING! I just went with it and this is what I came up with... Let's just say there's no other like it!!

To create this masterpiece for our bloggers challenge, I used Live Like You Mean It, Upsy Daisy, and Cute As a Bug stamp sets; random ribbon; glitter; punches; Certainly Celery and Barely Banana cardstock; and Purely Pomegranate and Certainly Celery ink.

Juicy!

This is my very first bloggers challenge... along with an attempt at making a film strip! Doesn't that juicy watermelon make you crave Summer? I wanted to capture the essense of warm summer days... picnics, fresh fruit, and flying kites!

To complete this challenge I used Chocolate Chip & Pretty In Pink Cardstock, Copic Markers, Dimensionals, and Pretty In Pink & Certainly Celery Grosgrain Ribbon.

Balancing Act!

There is something to be said for the peeps trying to 'balance' their crazy schedules and still find time for some therapeutic stamping. Hopefully this simple, yet adorable card, inspires you to get out your card making supplies and get creative! I made this card at a local stamping class, taught by the amazing Jane Bosi!

"You are the friend beneath my wings!"

Whistle Today!

Chin up! Spring is almost here! I needed a distraction from the cold, dreary winter days. So I busted out this little guy and turned him into a cheerful greeting card! What better way to break in my new Copic markers! Although my first love is Stampin' Up!, I have fallen victim to what could possibly be the greatest marker manufactured, Copic markers!

To bring this simple Spring card to life I used Stampin' Up! Soft Sky Cardstock, Textured Cardstock, Certainly Celery Grosgrain Ribbon, Buttons, Silk Flower Embellishments, and Copic Markers.
